LEGOLAND FL

This summer, we made our first trip to LEGOLAND! Merritt has really just become interested in Lego’s this year.. and let me tell you, he is ALL IN. He lives and breaths thinking about building Legos! For this trip, we met up with some friends (Meagan and Brantley) who also share a love for Lego! Meagan and I were friends before kids and we live in different states now. This was the boys first time meeting!

Before traveling to Florida, we started looking into trip discounts. In most Lego sets that you buy, there are coupon codes tucked inside for a B1G1. We opted to utilize this and it was a huge cost savings. Essentially, the offer gets you one day access to both the theme park AND water park. I will say- it is A LOT to fit into one day (theme park hours are 10-5, waterpark 10-4) and we were not able to do everything. We skipped over Cypress Gardens all together and really didn’t have much time to spend in the Lego City area. We also skipped all of the toddler areas and many of those rides. That being said- even if you skip some items, this is still the better deal. If you chose to not go to the waterpark AT ALL , its still the better deal! If you’d rather spread it out between two days, you absolutely could. But if you are limited to a one day visit, definitely look for the discounts!

I also looked into their version of the “Disability Pass” before traveling. It is referred to as the “Blue Hero Pass”. Essentially, it allows you immediate access onto all rides (excluding the water park). This all takes place on a piece of paper and is signed off at every ride you visit. In order to set this up, you’ll walk directly to guest services when you arrive. They’ll take a photo and arrange for everyone in your party (up to 6) to be included. Your FIRST ride on every attraction will be a walk on. However, if you’d like to do it a second or third time, you have to either wait in the standard ride queue or schedule a return time.

After leaving guest services, there is an area where you can measure how tall your child is.. which will help determine what rides they are able to do. Depending on their height, they’ll be given a wrist band so that they don’t have to be measured all day long. Hugely beneficial!

After entering the park, we really found that there was not much of a wait for any rides. A couple of the most popular attractions had a 15-20 minute wait.. but most were a walk on. Typically, the “Blue Hero Pass” entrance was at the exit of the ride.. and all had signage throughout to show you where to go.

Some of our favorites were exploring Lego City, watching the Water Stunt Show, and the waterpark! Merritt absolutely loved the water slides! From a ride stand point, I think his favorite was The Great Lego Race.

All in all, it was a really great day and we would definitely go back! It was hot but the boys had a wonderful day. We had a little bit of rain (always take ponchos and umbrellas when visiting Florida- the weather changes fast!!) but we enjoyed some of the inside activities until it passed and it worked out totally fine. There is a huge gift shop at the end and we told BOTH of the boys that this would be the last thing of the day. It was great motivation for them both.. and a really easy transition for us to get out of the park.

Until next time, Legoland! Thanks for a great day!!
